That is absolutely amazing. It's very powerful in its simplicity. It reminds me of some contemporary tapestries I saw in France last summer.

From technical point of view this plugin is like Blur variation, but it generates rather different texture and gives some new possibilities in colouring. This flame is NOT fractal. Apo has been used as generator of random points for rendering (absolutely the same way in Blur) ;)

Indeed, you make a good point about that whole group of variations - they're about adding effects rather than being genuinely fractal in nature. Perhaps a future GUI might emphasise this...
